Once you've uploaded your masterpiece presentation onto Salesforce ContentExchange you're ready to share it with your company to win more deals. And wouldn't it be nice if you could also share it in a controlled way with your channel partners? Salesforce ContentExchange keeps you in control of your documents and content. When first uploaded, the content is only visible to you as though it were on your private PC. You then publish your content to groups of people that you select in a private area called a workspace. That's all there is to it.

Salesforce ContentExchange operates on a subscription model. When users are subscribed to documents, they are automatically alerted whenever the document is updated. But it goes even beyond this. Salesforce ContentExchange allows users to subscribe to topics or even authors so that users are in control of what information they receive (provided they are given access permission). If Jim in inside sales wants any document created on the Healthcare Industry he can receive them automatically by subscribing. If Suzy in field sales wants to know any time Bob in the competitive analysis group writes a new report, she can subscribe to Bob. Salesforce ContentExchange makes it easy - we don't require our users to always come to our system to look for new documents.

Salesforce ContentExchange is also smart. We give you great insight into how your content is used once you contribute it, helping your organization assess the value of what is produced and improve the quality based on user feedback. Not only does the system track usage patterns and provide comprehensive reporting, but we also provide a rating system for end-users to score content quality and a feedback loop for providing comments directly to the author or more publicly to the group if you choose this option.

Did you publish a document for partners and then realize there was a mistake? Salesforce ContentExchange let's you cut off access before the document is read. Try doing that with email.
