Mark Suster - Chief Executive Officer
Mark Suster is co-founder and CEO of Koral. Mark has been working to solve Enterprise Content Management issues for businesses for more than a decade. He previously founded BuildOnline, a leading global Document Management company focused on creating workspaces for large infrastructure companies to collaborate. BuildOnline's client's list includes blue-chip names such as the London Underground, the Ministry of Defence (UK), BNP Paribas (Europe's largest bank), and SNCF (the rail company in France) to name a few.
Prior to founding BuildOnline, Mark worked in Accenture's London office, where he was one of the leading e-commerce strategists in the European practice. This followed a successful posting at Accenture's Centre for Strategic Technology Research in Sophia Antipolis, France, where Mark's emphasis was Knowledge Management technologies. Prior to joining Accenture, Mark worked in corporate finance at First Interstate Bank in California. He is a dual citizen of the US and the UK. Mark holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Tim Barker - Vice President of Products
Tim Barker
is co-founder and Vice President of Products of Koral. He has more than 15 years experience in product management & strategy within the enterprise content management sector. Tim was previously a senior product manager at Documentum, leading the company's strategy for enterprise integration and development partnerships with companies such as SAP and Siebel. He then joined Benchmark Capital as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence and co-founded Activiti, a content management company that helped financial firms manage fund information flows.
Following Activiti, Tim led Product Management at BuildOnline, a leading on-demand Document Management and Collaboration solutions company, where he spearheaded the company's expansion into the financial services sector. Earlier in Tim's career he worked at a digital security company, PenOp, and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Tim graduated from Kingston University, England with a BSc in Computer Science (1st class).
Ryan Lissack - Chief Architect
Ryan Lissack is co-founder and the Chief Architect at Koral, where he oversees all development efforts with particular emphasis on back-end architecture and scalability. Ryan spent his previous 3 years in London as the Chief Architect at BuildOnline a leading on-demand Document Management and Collaboration solutions company that he helped build with Mark Suster and Tim Barker. Prior to that Ryan worked for 5 years as a technology architect and programmer in the Enterprise Software arena with an emphasis on high performance and scalability.
Ryan holds a BSc Information Technology (Cum Laude) and a BSc Honours Computer Science (Cum Laude) from the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He is working at Koral's headquarters in San Mateo, California.
